Value screen
Where one sportsbook pays more than the other books' average. The market's view, not a prediction or a pick. The value screen is part of Pro
Every prop and game line where one US sportsbook pays more than the other books' margin-free average, best first, with the fair price, the books behind it and each quote's age. The props boards and the odds board stay free.
The market's view, not a prediction
A row is not a pick and uses no model. It says one sportsbook is paying more for a side than the other books' prices imply that side is worth. Whether that is value depends on the other books being right, and the market is often right.
How the fair price is built
For each side, the other US books quoting the same number (at least two) each have their margin removed, two ways, and the less favorable figure is used; the fair chance is the average of those books, and the book being tested is left out of its own comparison. Yes-only prices keep the book's margin, so they are not screened.
What is left out or flagged
Different numbers are never compared (a 24.5 is not a 25.5). Impossible or margin-free pairs are dropped. A quote 3 or more hours older than the freshest other book is hidden by default, and every price shows its age.
What a row costs you to trust
Limits, voided or repriced props, and a quote that no longer shows at the book all make a listed edge disappear. Check the price at the book before you rely on it.
